How brands can find the right influencers and the future of the metaverse [Podcast]:

The way that we do it is we say, “based on x, y, and z we think Instagram is the right platform and we think these type of creators are the right platform.”  Then we go out and we test that theory.  The most successful people are really great at testing because if you go out and test three influencers you are not going to learn anything.  Statistics says that that “n” size, that sample is not big enough.  But you need to continue to look and create and test and that is the smartest way to do things.  That is how we guide a lot of our brand partners.

Entrepreneur and investor Codie Sanchez’ recommendations on negotiating [Podcast]:

You will be better than 99% of negotiators if you just ask for the things that you want.  Most people don’t ask for anything.  That’s the one-on-one version.  [This] would just be, in the next conversation you have with an investor to say something along the lines of, just get yourself used to saying it, “Hey, I think this is a really cool company, I want to invest in you.” Or “I think this is a really cool company, I want to work for you,” for people out their listening who are just thinking about it that way.  I would say, “I want to be in here, but I want this one extra thing.”

How marketers can take advantage of Instagram’s new algorithm update [Article]:

It’s equally exciting for content creators. In the past, if you created a funny Instagram Stories video and someone re-posted it to their Instagram feed where it gained a ton of traction, you wouldn’t necessarily reap the benefits from that – the re-poster would get the views, likes, and shares.

Now, Instagram is rewarding originality, so if you’re the first one to create and share a piece of content, this new algorithm update should help you remain the sole beneficiary.
