Big Brother Thoughts is a weekly look at CBS’s “Big Brother” gameplay covering many of the topics we’ve been reviewing including strategy, persuasion, and more. Note: these thoughts will be based on the TV episodes, predominately from the eviction night show (not the “Live Feeds”).
- Michael displayed quick thinking in picking three Leftovers and his target Jasmine to join him inside the house for the week (unless Jasmine won the veto, he had the numbers to vote her out from the start).
- Monte made a well-calculated move when he offered to go on the block to be a pawn. There seemed to be a low-to-moderate risk of being betrayed, but a high reward in the trust he would reinforce from The Leftovers.
- Kyle took a big risk in outing The Leftovers. However, to keep himself in the game, portraying Monte and Joseph as a bigger duo threat than his showmance was maybe the best play.
- The backyard confrontational group meeting was intense. I thought Joseph did about as well as he could when trying to explain his actions.
- I thought it was notable that Terrance stressed that Kyle and Alyssa had not always voted together. This made the bromance appear stronger than the showmance which just proves the point that actions speak louder than words.
- Once again Michael gave an excellent goodbye message to Jasmine. He was honest, justified his actions, and very complimentary of her gameplay. If he makes it to the end, he most likely secured his second jury vote.
- Joseph tried his best to keep The Leftovers intact. In his interview, he said he should have anticipated Kyle outing The Leftovers. It seems like his only fault was trying to be too loyal.
- Splitting the house in two was entertaining to watch. It will be interesting to see how the ramifications play out.
