Big Brother Thoughts: Week 9 Eviction Night

Big Brother Thoughts is a weekly look at CBS’s “Big Brother” gameplay covering many of the topics we’ve been reviewing including strategy, persuasion, and more. Note: these thoughts will be based on the TV episodes, predominately from the eviction night show (not the “Live Feeds”).

  • Mind-blowing to see Michael win another HOH and veto.
  • It was interesting seeing Brittany try to mitigate her losses (throwing out a final two to Turner) if Michael were to get evicted.
  • It seemed like Terrance used everything he could during his campaign to remain in the house. Mentioning he could influence the jury and that Alyssa was a bigger threat (with more allies in jury than him) were some relatively strong points.
  • It is always interesting to see how evictees respond after getting the boot. Joseph seems to have come to terms with being a bit too loyal. Jasmine, Indy, and Joseph were understandably upset regarding everything that led to Kyle’s eviction. The way they ultimately handled the issue was admirable. Kyle keeping an open mind about unconscious biases is commendable. I’m interested in how Michael will explain holding on to Kyle’s comments.
  • As Michael said in his exit with Julie, taking him out was the right move. Depending on how the final two plays out, it will be interesting to see how those involved in Michael’s ouster will try to take credit to boost their resumes.
