Big Brother Thoughts: Week 1 Eviction Night

Picking up from last year, as a former guest (and winner), I will be sharing my thoughts on the 26th season of Big Brother. For a primer on the show, check out CBS’s website. Essentially, sixteen contestants compete to vote fellow guests out of the house with the goal to be the last person standing.

I intend to watch the eviction shows and post my thoughts shortly thereafter. Note: this series will be based solely on the TV episodes (I will not be tracking the related “Live Feeds”). We’ll start with the first full week of gameplay (up to Thursday night’s eviction).

  • The artificial intelligence theme is cool, and the BB AI Arena twist definitely creates drama.
  • Angela came on way too strong. Before her outburst, it probably would have been better to have been interacting with her houseguests instead of isolating in the HOH room (and growing overly suspicious).
  • Makensy seemed to have a tough choice with whether to use America’s Veto. It’s always interesting to see how houseguests respond when their showmance is on the line.
  • Obviously, huge BB AI Arena win for Kimo.
  • It’s hard to dissect Matt and Angela’s relationship. It seemed like he was just too open with his thoughts in the HOH room.
  • I’m excited for what should be another fantastic season!
