Big Brother Thoughts: Week 11 Eviction Night

Big Brother Thoughts is a weekly look at CBS’s “Big Brother” gameplay covering many of the topics we’ve been reviewing including strategy, persuasion, and more. Note: these thoughts will be based on the TV episodes, predominately from the eviction night show (not the “Live Feeds”).

  • The drama surrounding Taylor and Monte was interesting:
    • Monte did not do the best job of covering his tracks when he tried to make it seem like he wasn’t sleeping in Taylor’s bedroom. A small misstep, but it made Turner question his loyalty.
    • It seemed like the HOH power could have partially contributed to Taylor’s questionable interactions with Monte.
    • It appeared to strengthen Monte’s relationship with Turner. Turner was already looking for some reassurance and the quarrel created just enough frustration in Monte to assure Turner.
  • Both Terrance and Michael said they would give Monte the credit for evicting Michael. It will be interesting to see if that becomes the majority view in the jury.
  • Joseph’s reaction to the news that Taylor was sleeping in Monte’s bed was tough to watch.
  • It was certainly nice for the final four to get a video from their loved ones. I would have loved to have gotten a video from my family because being away from friends and family for that long is challenging.
  • Brittany’s pitch to Monte in the pre-recorded segment did not seem to reveal anything Monte wasn’t already considering. I thought she did, however, present her case fairly well in her live speech pointing out the success rate Monte had against Turner and herself.

  1. It’s been awesome reading these weekly and to see you comment on the show. – and what a blessing to see the insight that only a winner of the game could provide. Hope you are great, Drew.
